Vintage Men's Fendi
Vintage Men's Fendi
Our Fendi collection is a varied one, featuring items from vintage ties to vintage trousers largely in the colour scheme characteristic of the brand, with the occasional anomaly. Often displaying the recognisable ‘F’, Fendi items have a classic Italian style and pair well with other vintage Italian brands. A bit of history… Launched in 1925 by Adele and Eduoardo Fendi, the label began as a fur and leather shop in Rome. Taken over by their five daughters, success came quickly with their innovative ideas and sharp intuition and the Fendi name was truly born. In 1965, the Fendi sisters employed a young German designer as creative director to modernize the fur line. Under Karl Lagerfeld’s leadership, mole, rabbit and squirrel were introduced into the collection and fur was reintroduced as a fashionable and light item of clothing in 1977, resulting in contemporary consumers’ overwhelming desire to have their own. More recently, Fendi collaborated with Fila to create a high-end sportswear line, mixing the iconic red, white and blue with Fendi’s own typical browns and blacks.
Fendi has not only used adverts to promote its brand, but it can be seen in the likes of The Grand Budapest Hotel, Evita and Sex and the City, with Carrie Bradshaw flaunting the Baguette bag: ‘Oh, this isn’t a bag. It’s a Baguette.’ Additionally, celebrities adore the brand with supermodels, including Naomi Campbell in the 90s, the Hadid’s and Winnie Harlow, to singers, such as Fergie and Rita Ora, covering themselves with brown, block capital ‘F’s.
